‘Emotion Gateway’ is a virtual reality project, which comprises an additional computational module for both stationary and mobile VR that measures signals of potential emotional responses using biofeedback sensory detection. The project is a collaboration with Stephan Drescher & Emolition and funded by The European Union’s Cross-Motion Program, Filmby Aarhus and Interactive Denmark.
Framed within the European Capital of Culture 2017 in Aarhus (DK), this project investigates new methods for working with the analysis and archiving of cultural big data. Focusing on emotional and affective data features from user and audience responses, the project investigates how can we develop new methods and tools for collecting, curating, and archiving large data sets derived from cultural events?
